...........

This week has seen a big change at work. The old training centre has been gutted and everything has been put into new places ready for work to begin inside.
The new tea rooms have been completed and all the furniture has been moved in ready for the first day of business tomorrow (tues 21 july). This week has seen all the staff come closer together which has been good.

On Sunday we said farewell to the officers at Hadleigh, this was an emotional day for everyone espcially as we said goodbye to good old Rich. During the 3 years he has been at Hadleigh, we've shared so many fond memories as a youth group and he has had a massive impact on everyones lives.

On Wednesday, i was asked to go on tour with the Household Troops Band to bonny old Scotland. This should be good fun but am also a bit apprehensive.

At the end of this current week I'm off on tour to Switzerland and Belgium with Southend High School for Boys Concert Band - I'm not going to say much about this because Katie wanted to come.

Bye for now........

here it is......

well, here it is........the 2nd blog!

this week has gone pretty quickly to be honest.

the start of the week was spent sorting out my room mainly because i had brought so much stuff home from uni, which i dont really need and the fact that it need sorting out anyway.

Wednesday soon came along and it was the first day of me working for the summer, which is great as i really like working down at Hadleigh Training Centre - the sense of achievement that is received at the end of the day when you see how happy the trainees are after they have a had a successful day is overwhelming.

Friday was my day off and saw me and dad head down the driving range which was a good laugh, we then progressed off to lakeside for me to get a white polo shirt for saturday. The day finished at my uncles house near Gatwick.

Saturday morning soon came along, and it was Conerstone contest band rehearsal at 1030 in s
Sheffield. This means i had to leave hadleigh at 7am. after the 2hour rehearsal it was straight into a joint rehearsal with Birmingham YP band. The concert in the evening went well and was fairly well attended. End of the day resulted in Chinese around Aid and Nic's.

Today i drove back from Sheffield after the morning meeting, in time for the evening meeting at Hadleigh, commitment or what?! At yf tonight, we played a newly invented game by myself which i think went down well. it was very energetic and hot and sweaty.

Oh and by the way, Katie had a little dig tonight about it being a week since my first blog, doesn't take her long!

One thing that been going around my head for the last week during the busy times is the chorus to a song in the Salvation Army song book.........i have included them below and also a link to a video of the song.

I'm in His hands, I'm in His hands,
Whate'er the future holds, I'm in His hands,
The days I cannot see
Have all been planned for me;
His way is best, you see;
I'm in His hands.

Tomorrow is the start of yet another busy week. hope you didn't mind the insight into my busy week last week, but had nothing else to write.

first blog.....

Hi everyone,

firstly, my aim for this blog will be to add something interesting that happens during my week.

quite a few things have happened during this week:

1. I've now got a blog

2. At uni, i've now moved out of halls into a house with Charlie and Carly

3. I'm now back home for the summer after completing my first year and coming out with 4 B's and 2 C's.

Moving out of halls at Uni has been a long drawn out period as i started to pack all my books and DVDs etc up over 3 weeks ago now, I didn't quite think i had as much stuff as I've actually got.

We got the keys for our house at 1030 on Tuesday 1st July. After being quickly shown around by the lady from the letting agency we were left in the house. We were now left with the fight over who got the biggest room and who got the smallest room, it ended up that i got the smallest and Charlie got the biggest only because of his piano, i tried to argue my case with my euphonium, bass guitar and bass amp but they weren't having any of it.

We've all got everything in and a few trips to Ikea will add the final touch to our house.

Speak to you next week........
